A joint venture between Curtis Seeds Inc. and Huron Commodities Inc., the mandate of Summit Genetics is to develop profitable Identity Preserved soybean varieties for Ontario producers, which carry traits in high demand by foreign buyers. Seed is released on a production contract basis through our province wide dealer network.

Curtis Seeds Incorporated, based in Fingal, Ontario, specializes in the propagation, cleaning, and conditioning of pedigreed soybean seed.

Huron Commodities Incorporated is based in Clinton, Ontario and is among the leaders in production, processing, and export of Canadian Identity Preserved Non-GMO soybeans.

MISSION

Drawing on our expert knowledge of export markets and in collaboration with The University of Guelph, Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, and various private seed breeders, our goal is to carefully select Identity Preserved Non-GMO soybean varieties which meet the changing agronomic needs of producers.

OUR FUTURE

As many large seed companies continue to expand investment in GMO trait technology at the expense of conventional seed development; Summit Genetics will remain committed to expanding our variety lineup to ensure Ontario producers will continue to have access to value added, high performing, Identity Preserved and Non-GMO soybean varieties.
